JRM Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Hi, i´m the guy that always wanted to get my Viper in to carrier ops. Before you start to reply me pls take note that I already have the Fa-18Clot20 and the F14B, take note also that I enjoy real simulation but in this case I would make an exception because im desperate to see my Viper in any carrier. Now my idea is that there has to be something in the sfm section of the f16.lua located in coremods/F16c that can be modified in order to reduce the stall speed to 70knots and with that touch down speed I can surely land my viper even on the shortest like the R95 arromances. I have tried EVERYTHING this includes the lua script, the config script on the FM but nothing seems to work as I intended. If have any idea of how to make this work pls let me know....I swear to the community of DCS, matt wagner, Vladimir Putim and Donald Trump that I wont be usign this for multiplayer online purposes, its only for my personal and bizarre campaigns.
razo+r Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 SFM is for AI. And no, you cannot edit the PFM, so don't even ask that. If you want to see it on the carrier, wait until ED gets the hook to work.

Second, you're better off trying to use the old AI F-16 which is already a SFM and will be easier to tweak. You'll need to do something similar to the All Flyables mod or whatever it's called, and assign it a FC3 cockpit and so forth. After that, you'll potentially be able to tweak the base fm, since ultimately that's how all these downloadable mods were created. I can't say how easy it will be, probably a lot more than just altering a line of code, though. Those mods use FC3 FM, and that cannot be edited either. Only SFM and selfmade EFM can be edited. So OP would need to make the AI F-16 flyable with SFM and tweak that, but then again SFM should be able to land/interact with the carrier. The only solution for OPs request is the one I provided.
