What device and mapping are you using for slewing?

Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Check if only the keys are binded to cursor for "F-14 RIO" and don't forget to check Axis category too. Any other binds to HCU you don't want should be deleted.

I double checked, and none of the slew keys are assigned to anything else. here is a video of what I'm dealing with

I' m having trouble slewing in the TID or DDD, the cursor resists and returns to its original position. what am I doing wrong.

Well, this is correct behaviour for axis, because unlike the A-10C cursor, the cursor on the F-14 does jump back to center when you let go of the stick. For keyboard commands this doesn't really make sense though.

Yeah it is happening while I'm still holding the HCU-half action and slewing around. I cant get it to mark a target because it will jump back to where I slew it from. Somebody is gotta have an answer for this

Yes, it is intended behavior. Do you not have a joystick you would rather use for the HCU? You will not need it as a pilot joystick while in the RIO seat, and then the behavior will match, as it replicates basically you letting go of the stick, which means it returns to center. We did not really expect anyone to use a keybord instead of a joystick, it is a rather odd choice, tbh, but ofc it is up to everyone how they want to go about their controls.

That said, I can see how with keyboard inputs it poses a problem. But I am not sure we will be able to change that easily. I would really recommend you use your joystick for the HCU though. You can have it mapped both for pilot as well as for RIO.

Wait, the HCU is centered? I thought it was a flopper? Every picture I see of it or the old F-4 RIO control it's whanged off in some random direction.
