Hello,

Is it according to the real plane specificity, that in stable, horizontal flight, with vertical speed equal to 0, the flight path marker is located above horizon?

Yes that is the default setting ie +5 degrees, although it can be adjusted using the HUD trim button. Maybe someone who knows more than I do can explain why or if pilots ever changed it.

The FPM shows true 1-to-1 velocity. The HUD is an abstracted representation of attitude like the VDI or BAI.

The Flight Path Marker is also pretty primitive in the F-14. Trust the Gauges not the HUD in the Tomcat. Consider the HUD supplementary information, not Primary Flight Instruments.

Ok, thank you all, for the answers.
