HavokFlight Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 My new Saitek X52-Pro has both hat pov's constantly sending left input to the controller ... both buttons are stuck. I checked the set up display, and both are constantly sending signals. So this one is going back and I will try a second unit. After that, who knows. However, just before it broke, it was wonderful. Thanks for all the help guys. Mechanical engineers design weapons ... civil engineers design targets.
Aeroscout Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 If you can't get a free replacement, keep the throttle and get a CH stick. DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices

rattler Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 I would stay away from the X52 Pro. Get the X52, the Pro has some issues. I have one of the first X52's and have had not one bit of trouble. Joysticks are a personnel choice, but I can't see paying the Price of a Cougar(repair after repair) high price. Ch solid but again high price and have had issues. CH and Cougar are for the Elite sim flyer the Saitek fits in nicely for the rest of us. Ask for a X52 replacement, I think you will be much happier. Cheers.
RvEYoda Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Get CH or spend $400 more on cougar, but NEVER EVER get cougar without either NXT or Pressure mod. Stock cougar is :joystick: S = SPARSE(m,n) abbreviates SPARSE([],[],[],m,n,0). This generates the ultimate sparse matrix, an m-by-n all zero matrix. - Matlab help on 'sparse'
Peyoteros Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Saitek X-52 pro or just X-52, both are eye candy only. Pugachev's Cobra is more usefull than Saitek, (had 2x X52, and now use X52 pro) so, I guess I know what I'm talking about. There is no Quality nova days, Saitek s***'s monkey balls. 3 of my mates have Saitek X52 pro and all have issues... and not the cheapest one... Thanks for all the help guys. Have you checked your USB port settings? I made sure mine were set to be always on (as opposed to windows shutting them off when not in use). This got rid of my x52 pro's spikes and input problems. It still flashed like a christmas tree. Its now in the closet as a backup. My CH Fighterstick and Pro Throttle sit near me as I type this. This CH stuff is great stuff.
