HetzerII Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 Since when do the ailerons get ripped off at high roll rates at transonic-speeds? Is it "realistic" and what exactly triggers this (at which speeds and roll)?
TLTeo Posted June 30, 2020 Posted June 30, 2020 It was included in one of the latest patches: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4366643&postcount=98 so I guess yes, it's realistic. From the sound of the patch notes, just roll more slowly and you'll be fine.
OverStratos Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 The idea is to place a limitation at speeds above 1.000kph IAS for roll speeds, which is realistic for most aircraft. However, it seems that the limit of 90º/sec was too low and this will be increased in the next updates.
Krez Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 The frequency at which I lose an aileron seems to have increased.
theGozr Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 "Added aileron failure and damage due to excessive roll rate at high speed' well in RL you feel the pressure but here with your stick you over control the axis.. Now knowing this pilot disengage the Ailerons boost switch .... which it is not working in this MiG-19P a BuG or a forgotten button action .. The other MiG's are working fine. Fly it like you stole it..
Mortisrose Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 (edited) Ailerons appears to be ripping off at ~60 deg. per second now after update. I think the damage threshold was decreased 30 degrees instead of increased 30. OverStratos Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Thanks for letting us know. Apparently there was some mistake made while increasing the limit to 120º/sec. We will check with ED to see what can be done about this.
