mvsgas Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 :D Man, you guys are putting my aircraft geek knowledge to the test. I thought I was a knowledge full geek, it turn out I'm just a dumb geek.LOL To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
EagleEye Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Argh, I think I saw this helo recently in a AFM issue and had a laugh. To bad I`m not at home to have a look... SuperKungFu Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Well to point you guys in the right direction, this helo was made a while ago, so its not like a prototype of the comanche (despite its stealth-like shape) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Fjordmonkey Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 The Rotor/tail reminds me of an old UH1-modification of some sort. AH1 prototype, perhaps? Regards Fjordmonkey Clustermunitions is just another way of saying that you don't like someone. I used to like people, then people ruined that for me.
SuperKungFu Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Ah very nice shadow, great analysis of the tail rotar. So I'm going to give it to you. It is a modification of the Uh-1 This helicopter is called the Bell UH-1 Penetrator, which was a proposed gunship conversion of the Bell Uh-1. The picture you see above is the only prototype of this helicopter. your turn =) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Fjordmonkey Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Hmm, okay, here goes! What's this? Regards Fjordmonkey Clustermunitions is just another way of saying that you don't like someone. I used to like people, then people ruined that for me.

Excelsior Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Right, it's been a few hours so another clue is in order. This aircraft was killed off with only a few build by the usual culprit..... Politics. It was replaced by an aircraft with half the range and half the payload capacity just to save the value of a currency. One example is still flying, another is under restoration by the same company to join her sister and one more is a museum piece. The rest were scrapped. "No matter where you go, there you are" Intel E-8400 "Wolfdale" - Asus Maximus Formula - Swiftech H2O 120 4 Gb G.Skill PC2-8000C5 - EVGA 8800 GTS 512 - Dell 2707WFP WD Caviar 500Gb - Vista 64
