Yep you are right this is the Python 3.

Let me remind you guys about the rules ;)

Groove is right. Apologies for asking a question before Bimbac. He should be allowed to ask his any time.

But i`m still wondering if anyone can find what the bomb in post 401 is :)

Well i presume it's a practise bomb, hence the blue. As for the red/yellow colours, what do they mean?

The tail looks as if it wasn't made for dropping/free flight (a hunch), and there is a wire coming from the front [sensor] bit.

Also you have blurred out the cradle it's resting on... Bit odd ;)

is this a 'crash test dummy' bomb? If it is, erm... Mk-20?

It's got to be a sensor package either way. Possibly for testing guidance control surfaces?

Too many cowboys. Not enough indians.

AFAIK it`s not a practice bomb, the colors may mean it`s a piece for tests but i`m not completely sure :) Nope it`s not MK-20

It looks like the JP-233 (or something like it) anti-runway submunitions dispenser. Same as the one on the bottom right corner in that picture.

Used that thing lots of times in the old DID's TORNADO SIM. Together with the ALARM missile it was loads of fun those base attack missions.

Paveway gps experimental guidance [Topol]?

Edit: I'm not familiar with the colour coding used, but it's obvious this is an inert and probably experimental weapon.

It`s not Paveway. And it`s actually in use. I doubt the bomb will be painted that way in war time but thats what it actually look like. I might find another good photo of it though...

CE_Mikemonster and Pilotasso

You guys are correct, it looks like JP-233

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

GCS-1 IRGB

The bomb having a blue body make is inert for testing or training

The Yellow and Red are fore testing to be able to track the bomb as it falls.

Lets get question form Someone else, topol-m, so we can spread the knowledge and more people participate, What do you guys think? Who got a cool aircraft fact or trivia?

These are tetsubishi - usually used by ninja to slow down enemies. Very sharp and sometimes covered with poison or horse poop :) (to cause tetanus). Very nice weapon especially when used during the night ;)
