My first thought was of a single-seat fighter-variant of the Buccaneer, but it doesn't really look like one.

Spot on - Hawker Hind from 1935 owned by the Shuttleworth collection at Old Warden, and a beautiful thing it is too, I saw it fly last year, to get something like that back in the air must be worth the effort and a great joy to those who managed to do it.
