jerom1992 Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 give one more clue... Like the country that operates it
topol-m Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 give one more clue... Like the country that operates it No way, its gonna be easier to find it that way. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
jerom1992 Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 No way, its gonna be easier to find it that way. That's was a clue is for..
topol-m Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 That's was a clue is for.. Well it`s meant to be hard after all. ;) Besides i`ve already given clues. But pointing out the country will greatly limit the search. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
topol-m Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 nobody mentioned Mirage IV before? No it`s not Mirage IV. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
significant Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Yep. Consider yourself a winner! It's hard question for sure!. But instead of revealing the plane better give us more hints. The purpose of this thread is to learn about aviation history in entertaining way. Example it that zakobi's f-35 draken question. His hints was pretty straightforward, but I enjoyed it a Lot because i've read a Lot of interesting stuff about swedish jets. BTW my guess is an early dassault plane like Ouragan or Mystère
topol-m Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 7 pages - another record has been broken :music_whistling: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
topol-m Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 No it`s not Ouragan or Mystere. Dude, i`m thinking of what to give as more clues but it will come close to reveal the aircraft. Let`s generalize what you know so far: A mainly ground attack aircraft. Not serial production cockpit (at least there is no such data) - more a modernization research. Not russian. It`s a lot of info  [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
joey45 Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 (edited) Glouster Javlin.. TSR 2 "there's always hope.... But the light was turned off to save electric" Edited August 18, 2009 by joey45 The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. "Me, the 13th Duke of Wybourne, here on the ED forums at 3 'o' clock in the morning, with my reputation. Are they mad.." https://ko-fi.com/joey45
topol-m Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Ok i`m giving you several more hours as i don`t want to win easy ;) Then i`ll reveal it. It`s not TSR 2. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
CE_Mikemonster Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Bloody hell you're all still at it? Japanese? Mitsubishi? Tucano/Super Tucano cockpit (test)? Too many cowboys. Not enough indians. GO APE SH*T
topol-m Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Specify the exact Mitsubishi model you have in mind ;) It`s not Tucano/Super Tucano. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Boberro Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Are more these aircrafts than one piece? :D Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
topol-m Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 There isn`t a lot of info about that. It could be just 1 or several. Not enough first hand info ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
topol-m Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 (edited) Ok time for the previously known as "king" now "Emperor of riddles" to reveal his secret. I didn`t have more clues as giving you more would have ment to reveal it. Enough torture ;) (9 pages). Edited August 18, 2009 by topol-m [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
topol-m Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 (edited) I wiiiiin. Boy, second unanswered riddle. Ok enough yelling. Actually i`m really surprised that none of you guys could guess it by accident with so many tries. I have to admit that mvsgas was close. Dude, you are good. I mean real good. Not only you noticed the flight stick but had the right feeling it might be French/South african, you scared me shitless i thought you`re going to guess it... And you were right, but even though a lot of Mirages have been mentioned (III, 5, 2000, IV, 4000...) no one hit it. Unbelievable. Ok here it is - Mirage F1 AZ of the SAAF. A dedicated ground attack variant. This cockpit however wasn`t the original one but a result of a project to upgrade with new avionics and systems the planes in service. Serial production didn`t start due to financial problems (and others maybe). SA couldn`t invest seriously in modernizing several types of aircraft simultaneously. I haven`t found info of the exact number of F1 AZ modernized. ;) Edited August 18, 2009 by topol-m [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mvsgas Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Man That sucks, I wanted to find this out. O well. :doh:I know it was a French design, but it was missing that distinct F-1 radar scope that dominates the F-1 cockpit. Can we have some fun questions from now on. Yeah Yeah, you are the King who cares, I will rather learn some useless fact about aviation tho. :D The next question could be; "How many engine the F-16 have?" because I can actually count that high and have an chance to get it right:D Any way: whats next? Tropol-m I guess is you again (:sad_2::inv::bored:) To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
