GR00VYJERRY Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 Are the buttons and switches on the icp able to be mapped to a keyboard buttons? I was thinking about buying a little keypad and using it for the icp buttons. Thanks
Florence201 Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 Yes. I key map them so I can use Voice Attack for ICP functions. VA is a great piece of software for such things. Means you can have an activation button on your joysticks and tell VA to make a switch selection. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Harker Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 Yes, I have pretty much the entire ICP mapped to my keyboard. The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord. It is programmable and doesn’t interfere with standard keyboard function from my understanding. Will this be picked up b dcs in the scontrols settings menu?
=Panther= Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 It should work with no issues within dcs, however unsure if you will need to program each key within their software or if dcs will just pick up the key as a registered key. Yep will work fine - I use this one as it pretty matches the ICP layout perfectly aside from having to map a few additional buttons using a modifier. https://www.amazon.com/Koolertron-Mechanical-Keyboard-One-Handed-Programmable/dp/B07RL6QBLZ/ref=pd_sbs_147_2/130-7909158-7313766?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07RGVMRD7&pd_rd_r=c2f60493-d6b7-489b-b3f2-dd68c3b0f7d9&pd_rd_w=s9xJ7&pd_rd_wg=dEIyO&pf_rd_p=bdc67ba8-ab69-42ee-b8d8-8f5336b36a83&pf_rd_r=EAQG8A45YD17GFG0PQRP&refRID=EAQG8A45YD17GFG0PQRP&th=1 One suggestion I would give is to just slice up a nerf bullet into thin rings and place behind each key, gives it a more solid dampened 'press' as opposed to the light 'click' type keypress.
