Any improvements?

For LockOn? i'd say no difference from any previous drivers on my X1950pro AGP, although for the 3870x2 owners there maybe some better results.

I'd say just give em a try

Plugged, played. Full Shadow still does not work. Is it not true that full shadow does not work for a number of cards? Having said that I did not have a problem with full shadow using my 1950pro. Can't really say I saw any noticable improvement with this Catalyst.

I'll let you know if I notice anything else.

Thanks Mustang. I did notice a drop in Lock On with the 8.3. I cannot qualify it with any numbers. Looks like I'll go back to 8.2!:music_whistling: Hopefully there will be real improvement in 8.4 for XP users.

Thanks for posting.

Supposedly, yes its a 8.3 hotfix with later build date, you can install it over your present driver or you can do it standalone like it did, either way is good :)
