FA_Crazy-Canuck Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Hey thanks STANG. I have the HD3870X2 working well. I have noticed the odd anomaly all be it fleeting. I hope these drivers will include X2 improvements. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Mustang Posted March 6, 2008 Author Posted March 6, 2008 Any improvements? For LockOn? i'd say no difference from any previous drivers on my X1950pro AGP, although for the 3870x2 owners there maybe some better results. I'd say just give em a try
Mustang Posted March 6, 2008 Author Posted March 6, 2008 UPDATE: if there are any AGP users experiencing Direct3D issues with this driver release, they should take a look at this http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&questionID=31542 this is a strange one, since i'm using a Sapphire AGP card and have yet to experience this problem with any driver version.
FA_Crazy-Canuck Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 Plugged, played. Full Shadow still does not work. Is it not true that full shadow does not work for a number of cards? Having said that I did not have a problem with full shadow using my 1950pro. Can't really say I saw any noticable improvement with this Catalyst. I'll let you know if I notice anything else. FA_Crazy-Canuck Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Thanks Mustang. I did notice a drop in Lock On with the 8.3. I cannot qualify it with any numbers. Looks like I'll go back to 8.2!:music_whistling: Hopefully there will be real improvement in 8.4 for XP users. Thanks for posting. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Mustang Posted March 26, 2008 Author Posted March 26, 2008 sweet, thanks Mustang. oh wait, one quick question, is this hotfix for Cat 8.3 only? Supposedly, yes its a 8.3 hotfix with later build date, you can install it over your present driver or you can do it standalone like it did, either way is good :)
