DoorMouse Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Setup: Persian Gulf Lion and Sun (BFM) Fire sparrows around 4nm They either seem to do some weird thing where they don't maneuver and then try to loop on top of the target, or completely veer off course. Flood is also ineffective. First track shows a normally high PK dogfight launch where the aim7 seems to just fly off the rail like a ZUNI. near_blind Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 This isn't an issue with the F-14 per se. It effects all aircraft in DCS, and is an issue with ED's flight control logic for the missile. It's been acknowledged by the ED testing team, and I've been told that it has been fixed internally, it just hasn't made it to an Release Candidate yet. DoorMouse Posted July 25, 2020 Author Posted July 25, 2020 is this new? This is sort of my baseline mission to see if ninja undocumented changes have been made, or just have a consistent experience to test the changes. The aim 7 used to work just fine.
clanitho Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 I confirm, aim-7 totally useless. CarbonFox Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Yeah. The AIM-7 is pretty bad. I haven't tried the ED Sparrow yet to see if there is any difference. F/A-18C; A-10C; F-14B; Mirage 2000C; A-4E; F-16C; Flaming Cliffs 3
TLTeo Posted July 28, 2020 Posted July 28, 2020 Yeah. The AIM-7 is pretty bad. I haven't tried the ED Sparrow yet to see if there is any difference. There are no differences between the HB and ED Sparrows
