Mig29 Fuel Tank Rendering

A number of months ago I made a post showing the fuel tank of the Mig29 mod showing solid black. It was suggested to resize the BMP to 1024x1024. I did this and the fuel tank continues to show solid black.

 

I ran through the various settings, Full Planar etc.

 

Anyone have any other ideas or did I do something wrong?

What are your in game settings, i.e. All Planar etc.?

 

I am using Wndows Picture Viewer/Fax to edit. Hopefully you can see from the photos what I have changed.

 

Does this look correct? Maybe I need a proper photo editor. Kuky, next time we hook up on comms you could send me you bmp.

I get black textures with the same mod if i use full shadows, try turning full shadows off and use full planar instead and it should work fine.

I don't think you were told correct texture resolutions for MiG-29 tanks.

 

I remember I used 1024*1024 and it was black but when I resized it to 1024*512 it worked perfectly!

It works fine for me on All Planar or Full shadows, advance haze.. etc... I have all settings (with exception of water) on highest. Texture size is 1024x1024 and I reduced this texture to 8-bit bitmap. Canuck PM me your email and I'll send you the texture and fuel tank model file.
