If you can wait, there is pretty solid rumors that there will be a 3070Ti (or Super)/3080Ti(or Super) that will have 16gb and 20gb respectively. Also there is the theory that Bob_Bushman mentioned that the 30xx series has memory compression that makes 10GB do the work of at least the 11GB for the 1080Ti/2080Ti. But I would like to see some testing on that but I doubt most benchmarks will check that out. I'm pushing the 11gb of my 1080Ti often so understand your all's concern.

Just a simple question :

I don't have DCS with VR but I want to change my screen for a 55 inch 4K television.

Currently I have a 1080ti CG on a 27'' Inch monitor and all my views are very smooth.

Is it worth to change my 1080ti for a 2080Ti or even a RTX 3000 series ?

there is no easy/correct way to answer this, however; if you are able to run DCS at the setting you want and DCS is your main game then likely not.

If i was running on 2d, i would not be considering upgrading to a 30x card from my 1080ti which works really well.

if you cant run the settings you want and those settings are GPU bottlenecked or you want to run cyber punk 2077 with everything on... you might want to consider a 30x series card...

YMMV

Thx for your answer

All my settings in DCS (only game) are on HIGH and its stutter free.
