AT/TS Question

I've had the Blackshark since it came out like 8 years ago but I took a long break for a few years. I started flying again a few months back and it seems to me that the AT/TS switch (automatic tracking/ gunsight sight) functionality has changed. I clearly remember there was an option to boresight the skrival so that you could aim with it but I can't figure out how to do that anymore.

 

My question is, what is the actual full function of this switch now and did it change?

 

Also, while I'm here, I can't find a ballistic selector chart for each weapon, the manual lists settings for rockets and gun pods but lists nothing for bombs. All the info about what setting to use for each type of bomb that I can find seems to be conflicting. Some say use option 9 for one type and someone else says use 7 for the same.

 

I have the following but can't find the official settings for all the types of bombs:

 

0 S-8KOM Rockets with anti-tank/antipersonnel warhead

1 S-8TsM Rockets with smoke warhead

2 S-13 Large rockets

4 S-8M HE rockets

5 UPK-23 UPK-23 gun pods

 

If anyone can give me some info on the AT/TS switch functionality and on the setting for the ballistic selector for all available weapons I would really appreciate it.

I can't tell you if it changed since 8 years ago because I just came back myself 4 months ago.

 

But AT obviously is for most usage scenarios... Vikhr, rockets... TS is what you'd use as a boresight. Choose TS, Reset Targeting, and choose Rocket or bomb.

 

For actual usage in TS mode, here's old tutorial but I think it still works.

 

 

But I believe unguided bombing in AT mode like rocket delivery is more accurate so TS is... I guess only useful when laser is burned out? I never used any weapons in that mode to be honest.

 

 

And ballistics will be automatically set based on your weapon loadout. You only need to change it if you rearm to different weapon during the mission.

 

Devrim's latest cockpit mod also has that chart on the right rear panel.
