erjdriver Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 I'm running DCS 2.5.6 and start with the DCS_installer.exe executable. How can I make sure the installer is working - has been a while since I saw it install something on startup. When I go to the modules page - this new A10C module is not listed.
cthulhu68 Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 (edited) Its only on beta version. Did you update beta version? When you have open beta updated you can easily install a10c II in game in the module manager. A window pops up asking if you want to install. Edited October 3, 2020 by cthulhu68
erjdriver Posted October 3, 2020 Author Posted October 3, 2020 When I start up - it does say 2.5.6 - isn't that indicative of OPEN BETA install. Is there something else I can look for? Does that mean - I've got to uninstall and do a fresh re-install of open-beta. Thanks.
cthulhu68 Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 (edited) Current OB is DCS/2.5.6.55847. This is shown in lower right corner start menu. You can switch to OB using a command prompt or Skatezillas installer. Edited October 3, 2020 by cthulhu68

Rudel_chw Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 what's the command prompt? This is a command prompt window: For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
cthulhu68 Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 (edited) (Copied from another thread) Start a command prompt. Navigate to DCS install directory and then into the folder "bin". Run command "DCS_updater.exe update @openbeta". So copy the 2nd line you see in Rudel chw command prompt, except it should be DCS World\bin> and add the update prompt to it Edited October 3, 2020 by cthulhu68
freelancer2011 Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 I know this may be a 'ball of string question' but does anybody know how long do we think the stable version of A-10C II might be coming out? :D -I've, er, done the same as the OP. Bought it and have Stable DCS World. :megalol: I'd prefer to hangout (and stick with Stable DCS World).
cthulhu68 Posted October 4, 2020 Posted October 4, 2020 I know this may be a 'ball of string question' but does anybody know how long do we think the stable version of A-10C II might be coming out? :D . Hard to say. Its been 2 months since last update and 5 months before that for stable. I do think it could happen soon since OB seems pretty good right now.
