WelshZeCorgi Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 I can only find the old feedback sticks from my childhood. Are there new FFB sticks? Can't find any. Edit: I'm talking about more highend stuff, not the plastic desk joysticks like CH and TM

QuiGon Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 This is why: Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
WelshZeCorgi Posted October 16, 2020 Author Posted October 16, 2020 Oh shit... that's a lotta damage.
SharpeXB Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 I tried a G940 but I didn’t like it. The FFB felt too rough like there were gears in the stick and the action wasn’t smooth. I would prefer smooth response in a stick vs having FFB. I like the CH much better and I returned the G940 Now in racing sims the FFB effect is awesome and really vital. If flight sims had controllers like that? Wow. But flight sims would need to be much more popular to justify the cost. It’s interesting that Microsoft was instrumental in FFB. Hmm. They have a big opportunity now. i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
Phantom_Mark Posted October 18, 2020 Posted October 18, 2020 This is why: Except the observations of the guy writing this isn't strictly correct, as the owner of a MSFF2 since release I have had nearly 2 decades use of it, maybe more IDK, so long now, but RE: DCS......there is a couple of planes which you can feel the stick pressure increase with airflow over the control surfaces, so the stick gets firmer as your speed increases, or looser as you decrease speed, just like a real place, very cool effect. I am not giving up on FFB, and I hope one day we have a proper mainstream reason for me to retire my old FFB2 :)
