The manual says:

"The entered value can range from 1111 to 1788, but the first digit of the series must be a 1 and the last three digits must be between 1 and 8"

 

My bombs had the code 1747 and the A-10C could't set its TGP to that code, it cant use the 7 as second digit but I could set it on my gbu-12 on the F-16 (on the ground)

The manual is outdated.

 

Currently valid laser codes for the A-10 are:

1st: 1

2nd: 1-6

3rd: 1-8

4th: 1-8

 

In essence, the manual should be updated.
