Harker Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 In the November 4th update, the ACQ point cue (+ symbol) was introduced in the Radar Attack page. This cue indicates the highest priority trackfile that is not the L&S or DT2. Since the L&S and DT2 are not part of the HAFU ranking system, the + cue indicates the trackfile with rank 1, essentially. At least that's the way it works with the current HAFU ranking system in the DCS Hornet. The problem: If you are on RWS and have an L&S (or L&S and DT2), the next track with the highest priority (rank 1) will have the + symbol. If you switch to TWS, the track marked with + (track with rank 1) will become the new L&S. This shouldn't happen, since an L&S target already exists. This was not a problem prior to the last update. Expected behavior: The L&S should not switch to the track marked with + (rank 1), if an L&S already exists. If TWS is commanded without an L&S already present, that is the only case where the track with + should become the L&S upon entering TWS. Tested on 2.5.6.57264 Open Beta. Caucasus map. If it was, it consistent enough that I'd notice. Now, with the ACQ cue, it occurs every time you enter TWS with an L&S present. What exactly was the issue you reported? What should happen is if the #1 is also the L&S, the Acq Point Cue is not present. (There's a bunch of demonstrative pics in my report if curious).

Agreed, I was just describing the way it currently works in DCS right now. I saw Jack525's report and I agree with it. Whether the ACQ point cue shows up or not, the problem is that the L&S changes to the trakcfile with rank 1 (according to rank calculation in DCS), upon entering TWS. I guess the thread title is misleading, but it ties with me not noticing before, as Santi says. It's unrelated to the acq point cue. Strange, really, since I tend to designate the L&S in RWS and then switch to TWS when I get closer to engagement range. But it's indeed possible that circumstances made it so I never noticed it. Anyway, I think a friendly bump to the devs is a good idea at this point, especially if it's been a long standing bug.
