sirrah Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 As the previous thread was closed and considered solved by ED, I just wanted to report that the "glowing orb" effect of the lot20 Hornets is still present. Although significantly better than before, the nav lights are still overly big from a distance. At least they are in VR. Maybe it's a matter of making them slightly more smaller, but just mentioning that some additional optimization would be welcome. SMH Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 I was just about to report the opposite. They seem too dim in the day now. (Using a regular display, not VR, though I don't see why they'd be different.) Even right next to the plane you can barely see if they're on. At any distance there's nothing at all. C-130 tanker I was forming on had nice bright lights, by comparison.

sirrah Posted November 12, 2020 Author Posted November 12, 2020 Hi can I ask you to include a track replay and a screenshot showing what you are seeing. please ensure you have no shader mods or edits, I have reported landing gear lights bloom to the team already. thank you First of all, and again, the nav lights have definitely improved with the latest OB hotfix patch. No doubt about that. Also this might be just a personal preference, but I saw this post from @boomer12784 and thought it was worth the new thread. As you might know, taking screenshots in VR comes nowhere near what you actually see in the HMD (I'm using a Reverb btw). I even tried connecting a monitor from work, with a slightly better resolution, but still I can't take proper screenshots to show you what I mean. I added a simple Caucasus mission that I used for testing. The easiest way to test it is to go in F2 view and zoom in and out. At medium to long range and at night, the nav lights still have a big orb around them. Too large in my opinion at least. It's not awful, but just slightly off.. Especially with the green lights it's more striking. I'm on latest OB (obviously :P) Running no shader mods (only have A-4 and MB339 installed) Specs in signature Hornet lot20 nav light test.miz System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM - Realsimulator FSSB-R3 ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH
