That is very strange indeed, it might not be the concern of the comunity but do you know that you can ask them via privit message or some thing. Just say that you've got some kind of mode. I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.
rattler Posted May 20, 2008 Author Posted May 20, 2008 I came here a number of years ago before DCS and had a great time. Someone would always have time to answer a question or give help. I have asked lately for just that and have not received ONE answer to any. I will stay and read and be kept updated on what is going on but when you make replies and ask for help and get ignored, it gets frustrating, for me anyway. It was never like that. I have sent PM's to various members and received no reply either. If you want me to delete the above request. I would be happy to do so. It seems to offend and that was not my intention. I just thought it would be faster as there were 3 moderators here at the time. I like the community and will stay around and enjoy the comments etc.. These problems have been going on for months so I just wanted to call it quits on replys and requests as they never get answered anyway. I will enjoy what you all have to say but will remain on the side lines. Hope you understand. Some have thicker hides I guess. I was an ATC Training Supervisor for over 35 years and thought I had something to offer. I don't mod or anything but I do have ideas. You tell me what's the use if no one listens. I think some would do the same. I will be here, I am every day, but from now on I will be on the sideline so to speak.

Often, when I am checking the forum I do so from a work computer, where I don't have the time to respond, let alone take moderating actions. PMs are often missed, because users do not have the pop-up option selected and are simply unaware of the fact that a PM has been sent. Now, I'm not quite sure what deleting your posts will accomplish, but before we do so, I want to make sure that is in fact what you want us to do. So when people go back to check on something, there would be a gap. some of your questions were answered in the past and would prove useful for future incomers. If you delete them, those same old questions might repeat over and over again. If you don't want to be a part of this forum anymore, that's fine, but no need to delete your entire history- that's just like being banned. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Cosmonaut Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 In all the years I've been here I have had arguments, been called names and I've had every thread I have ever started in the Chit chat forum removed by the mods, except of course the one that's in there now, that is in fact my first successful thread in that forum but hey I guess it could be removed at anytime too ;) . You don't need thick skin rattler, what you do need is to prioritize the importance of internet forums. You have to realize that you can't take any of this seriously becasue you wont last very long in any activity that will require some form of online dialog. And to leave the forums just because some of your questions weren't answered is a very extreme reaction. I ask questions all the time that aren't answered and I don't give a rats ass.. maybe the person I asked didn't think it was a good question or something but I don't really care becasue I don't think about the forums once my PC is switched off .. Anyway take a step back and you'll realize that all contributions here are helping someone so to disappear from a sim forum doesn't achieve anything. Cozmo. rattler Posted May 21, 2008 Author Posted May 21, 2008 Ok, leave things as they are. Super and a couple of others had a valid point so disregard my request. There are a lot of people here that I have great respect for so just let this die and let things continue as before. Maybe sometime someone will answer a question or two. Like I said this did not happen all of a sudden, it has been months that this has been happening. I never had this problem before. Hope it goes away. I know it is a forum I am in a few but I have never had this happen. Lets start fresh and see how things go. Maybe my background, I expect some sort of reply. Ya I probably should know better.
