I'm finding the same bug described here: https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-f-a-18c-hornet/bugs-aa/263186-no-bug-ccip-bomb-fall-line-horizontal

My CCIP bombing fall line is just horizontal or kinda stuck in a arbitrary location ahead of me.

The mission is set to July 4, 1990, 11:41; USA coalition. Launching from CVN Stennis.

I tested full alignment; stored heading; using the TCN to update current location, and no luck.

The TCN update I got from here: https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-f-a-18c-hornet/bugs-aa/248239-reported-ins-align-hsi-no-longer-works-with-litening-pod-open-beta-update?p=5747439#post5747439

See attached trackfile.

I can't find any other information on Google or FA-18C manual about if I need to do anything differently to fix the INS alignment. HSI seems to be working fine. Only bomb fallline that is broken.

Do you have an advisory on the left DDI, like P/INS by chance? Is your INS knob in the NAV or IFA position?

HSI shows P/INS and the INS nob is on NAV position.

And on the left DDI, there's no other info other than: "ADV-":

I would try moving the INS knob to the IFA position after alignment is complete - just to see if there is an issue with having it in NAV position. There was talk on the forums in a thread (I do not recall which one) about certain dates of missions and where the INS knob needs to be positioned.

Not saying you are doing anything wrong necessarily - but could be an issue with that.

A friend and I have both had this recently too. Both times we had been flying for at least half an hour in a mission I'd say and the bomb fall line was about 30 degrees off the vertical. Did not change when turing around 180 and approaching from the opposite direction; always 30ish degrees left of vertical, similar to screenshot above.

EDIT: Mission Date is 21st June 2016

Same situation here. 2 aircrafts bombing in CCIP mode with the fall line in 30 degrees.

If you set the INS to IFA it will solve this issue.  Could still be a bug, but setting INS to IFA will fix it so you can use it.

Moving carrier CV alignment produces invalid alignment

Oh, so there is no way for us to do a normal mission if taking off from carrier in the current version?

I just made a mission with a friend and after OK status the heading of the aircraft in the HSI was correct but the AC symbol pointed to the left instead of up (setting was track up). Is that normal?

Thanks.

have just tried to make a fuli ns alignment, for hereafter to make a bomb run ccip with 82's

first run was without problems with fallline, but after rearming the problem with horizintal fall line reappears.

this is tested in a brand new mission, and are both tested as SP an as MP and through several attempts.

it has to be a bug, because the only way to work around the issue, is to shot plane down, and start her up and with a new full alignement.

Best Regards RAC
