Black Shark Campaigns. Current Status?

Id like to start one of the Black Shark Campaigns. Some are pretty old at this point, so i wanted to know which can be completed, and which of those you guys like the most.

 

is Georgia Oil War, the same as Oil War #1, #2 and #3?

Is Republic still working?

Deployment and Medvedev?

All broken in some way. I'd say start with Georgian Oil War. Deployment has very long ingress. Some taking 40-60min just flying to target. GOW have targets right in front of you so if you mess up or something is broken, you can fix it and get back to it right away. And yes 1, 2, and 3 are just broken pieces of the full GOW.

 

Expect to make changes to the missions in ME before each mission. Some missions have more targets than you have weapons for. Rearming works for some missions if the FARP is near. But I usually reduce number of enemy targets by 25%. It is a good way to study the missions too.

Due to above mentioned issues, similar to all helicopter missions/campaigns originally made for DCS 1.5.X, I still have last DCS 1.5.7 as my main install for serious playing. DCS 2.[whatever] I still consider Beta, even the version they claim to be Stable. Flying it only due to better looks and new features. DCS 1.5.8 broke many stuff still not corrected.

So my advice is to install 1.5.7 and play the campaigns there if you want them (almost) free of bugs.
