eatthis Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 is it possibly to designate a waypoint as a target for ccrp in the cat like you can in the hornet? 7700k @5ghz, 32gb 3200mhz ram, 2080ti, nvme drives, valve index vr
near_blind Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 The INS in the F-14A and pre-upgrade B isn't accurate enough for this sort of thing. Any sort of accurate weapons delivery is going to require some sort of visual designation.

Yes, there is. It's called Computer IP Bombing and draconus has linked to the section of the manual describing this procedure. It's also explained in this video: Edited December 3, 2020 by QuiGon Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
sLYFa Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 Not possible with Jester though i5-8600k @4.9Ghz, 2080ti , 32GB@2666Mhz, 512GB SSD

( i always use GBU-12 in Strike mission and mk82 CCIP for cas mission). if the lantirn didn't give you the release point (but i think it should do it), you can easly calculate the release point. you only have to choose a "standard altitude and speed " for your release and calculate the release point with your data, so you haven't to do all the calculation every time, but only the adjustment caused by wind I hope that i've helped you, Snakeice Nemo me impune Laecessit

Yes, but the IP can be far away from the target (the closer the better though) and is supposed to be a landmark that is easy to recognize. This. @eatthis simple trick that used to helped me to remind what did what when the module was released: CPRT PILOT → CCIP; CPTR TARGET → CCRP; CPTR IP → Line 1/2/3 of the 9-line CAS brief: IP, HDG, DST. It is not an accurate description, but it helped me to remember what they did when the module was launched. If you think it's awkward, look at the bright side, we are not using stop-watches and printed maps any more :) "Cogito, ergo RIO" Virtual Backseaters Volume I: F-14 Radar Intercept Officer - Fifth Public Draft Virtual Backseaters Volume II: F-4E Weapon Systems Officer - Scrapped Phantom Articles: Air-to-Air and APQ-120 | F-4E Must-know manoevure: SYNC-Z-TURN
