Is it possible to record the HUD?

Hi All,

 

Quick question, is it possible to easily record the HUD? I'd like to start capturing footage 'HUD cam' style that you sometimes find on Youtube but am wondering if its something someone has done previously?

Alt+F1 does HUD only view. I don't recall whether it's left Alt or right Alt, but it is one of them.

The only way I see would be to

- Fly and save the track

- Load the track

- Turn off TrackIR (to save your neck to get stiff )

- center the HUD into view

 and then record.

In the controls for recording HUD are down near our left knee.

 

AFAIK they are not functional though. It would be a great addition for ED to add and would be available in many other acft as well.
