mla306 Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Hi I'm new to the forums. I started playing the epsom campaign (sp) and I have done 2 missions and in both I am getting yellow flashes that are filling the whole screen just for a second and then gone. I have lots of other planes and campaigns and have never seen this in any other modules. I'm also not very techy. I was guessing maybe something wrong with my graphics card but then can't understand why it would only do it in this one module? I have a fairly new computer I7 with a 1060 graphics card. Any ideas on how to fix? Appreciate any help! 2
MarvK Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 (edited) Welcome to the forums. This is not specific to the Spitfire. Many of us have been having the same problem since a few updates ago. See here; https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/244277-reportedstrange-graphical-glitch/#comments I am having this issue only on the Normandy map with any of the WWII planes. Hoping the fix will come in the next update. Edited December 16, 2020 by MarvK 1
mla306 Posted December 16, 2020 Author Posted December 16, 2020 Hey thanks a lot MarvK! I really appreciate the information. I haven't tried my Mustang for a while....I'll try it and see if I get the same problem. Thanks again!
Doc3908 Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 Glad I found this thread. Just saw this for the first time in the Spitfire dogfight instant action mission in the Normandy map. I have flown that mission on and off (including only 2 days ago) and never had this issue before, so I assumed that it's related to the update I downloaded this morning. I'll try it with a different map as well as with different planes in the Normandy map. I fly VR with a Rift S, and my set up is on the low end (i7-8500, 24GB RAM, Nvidia 1080GTX), but up until now I haven't run into this issue. It really is VERY annoying.

Just wanted to report back as promised: This is NOT a Spitfire issue - probably related to the Normandy map. I flew a P-51 dogfight mission over Normandy, and the same yellow streaks were observed. I have not seen these yellow streaks in any of the other maps. The question is "Did the latest update cause this?". For me it started after installing the latest DCS Stable update yesterday. But judging from the link above, this may have been an issue earlier. Most likeky it was an Open Beta issue with the Nevada map that propagated to the latest Stable version. I really hope they fix this quickly - the Nevada map becomes unusable otherwise.
Art-J Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 (edited) It's been happening in all warbirds and all maps since introduction of updated DM in one of recent Open Beta builds. It's just the stable build number caught up with Open Beta before the bug was fixed.
