falconbr Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 Dear Sirs, According the DCS F-16C manual and RL dual targeting is possible in EO VIS and EO BORE mode. This is correct modeled and works in PRE mode. VIS mode: - There are missile HUD LOS circles for target number 1 and target number 2 and relevant mnemonics 1 and 2. - There is not possible to change the launch order using an MSL STEP switch, as in PRE mode. There is strange behavior of HUD LOS circles when use MSL STEP switch and TMS-Dn command. - Regardless release pulses settings, after depress and hold WPN REL only the one missile is launched. BORE mode: - There is only missile HUD LOS circle for target number 2 and relevant mnemonic 2. - There is not possible to change the launch order using an MSL STEP switch, as in PRE mode. There is strange behavior of HUD LOS circle and boresight cross when use MSL STEP switch and TMS-Dn command. - Regardless release pulses settings, after depress and hold WPN REL only the one missile is launched. Please find attached separate track for both modes. Thank You for Your effort. Very best regards, falconbr AGM-65G Two Targets_VIS Mode.trk AGM-65G Two Targets_BORE Mode.trk 1

ED Team BIGNEWY Posted December 28, 2020 ED Team Posted December 28, 2020 The problem with weapon release has been reported, when it resets the second target. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Thank You for info. I just reinstalled the DCS World and F-16C. This time I tried the stable version of DCS 2.5.6.59625. In addition to the problem with the weapon release, you mentioned, definitely in VIS and BORE mode there is a problem changing the missile firing order, using MSL STEP button, when two targets were previously locked. As in PRE mode, using MSL STEP should alternate the selection of missiles on stations 3 and 7 while both missiles retain track. That not the case in VIS and BORE mode, i.e. using MSL STEP both tracks can be lost (LAU-117, 2xAGM-65D). But, I think that this has been reported for BORE mode in a post: and for VIS mode in today post: Thanks for the effort. Best regards, falconbr Edited December 28, 2020 by falconbr
Deano87 Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 (edited) I actually can't get Dual targeting to work in any mode, including PRE with the TGP, as soon as I hit MSL Step I lose lock on the first Maverick. This is since the latest beta patch. EDIT - I figured it out! It works if you use a single Maverick on each pylon. If you use the TER and 2 or 3 Mavericks on the pylon then it wont work, as soon as you hit MSL Step it will drop the first lock, this happens in VIS, BORE and PRE with the TGP.
