correct as-is AMPCD...can't see the airfields

I used to be able to easily see the airfields on the AMPCD (Advanced Multi-Purpose Color
Display) especially in 40 scale but now they don't seem to be present.

The airfield insignia is a blue circle with a white line though it indicating the direction of the airfield.

Anyone else having this issue?

They show OK for me at scales of 20 miles and above. See attached showing at least 4 airfields.

Different display resolutions mean different chart scales for each zoom level. So if you have recently changed from 1024 to 512 for example, then things may have changed.

Last week I noticed that as I change chart scales, at some point, the entire color scheme of the chart changes. I don't remember if that caused a problem w/ seeing fields or not but certainly could.

That is really interesting.  Never knew that.

Yes, it would seem that the filled circle with a white cross showing runway orientation shows at 40 miles and 20 miles at 1024, and 20 miles and 10 miles at 512.  Other scales show an unfilled blue circle.

I wonder why that is. Is it intentional?

I've observed in both 512 and 1024 without seeing noticeable change. 

Using VR I was always able to see the airfields quite easily in all scales up to 40 but it seems the icons are smaller than they used to be.

It's the same in VR.  you see the blue filled circle with white line showing runway direction in 1024 for 40 miles and 20 miles, and in 512 it's 20 miles and 10 miles.  At all other times, a blue unfilled circle shows. They are not smaller icons, they are different, and in fact the maps are totally different at different scale levels. See attached. (Top is 512 and the bottom is 1024, unsurprisingly higher resolution and detail.)

At 20 scale they were even bigger and more clear.

Now they are a smudge.

Quite hard to tell from your screenshots as they are quite small and low res, but the symbols look OK to me in game.

That's my point...my settings have not changed but recently the airfields have, thanks for the follow-up.... I'll live with it.

Its a different chart scale, idk how it is at 512 but I know that the chart scales used at 1024 arent even correct to RL.

I tried 512 and 1024...did nothing for helping to see more clearly the airfields.
