ModMan 6.4 - Feature list (temp)

some news from ModMan World

Here you will find 6.4.0.0 features list.

I'am working also on a 7.0.0.0 version for BlackShark full support but like i don't have it, i must wait the release for dedicated features

 

BTW this is the 6.4.0.0 temporaly feature list (already coded)

- Main menu enhanced with 'drop-right' menu ;) (using arrow button)

 

- Added the ability to restore manually a lot of hot files (use the 'drop-right' menu in the main menu)

 

- added "Force un-installing all files even if some seem not installed" checkbox in mod installer window

this is default & safe mode in order to support files modified by lockon at each start

even if these files appear uninstalled after a lockon launch, they will be uninstalled correctly when removing the mod

 

- added 'ARC' (archive button) in mod installer window

if you don't use anymore an old mod, this button archive it in 'modman\addon_xx\archive' folder

 

- When installing an addon, original games files are now saved with game directory structure in "ModMan_backups_dont_remove" folder'

note that backups from older version are converted automatically by ModMan

 

- Now you can switch to another game in main menu (ModMan won't close anymore)

 

- Added backup management feature for several hotfiles

 

- Game management don't open anymore when launching CDDS explorer with shortcut

 

- fixed error when launching CDDS explorer with shortcut

 

- Removing tray icon, now ModMan minimize normally in task bar

 

- updated rar compression engine

 

- updated dds compression engine

 

- tweaked some parameters to optimize the file scanning process.

Skypat, does Modman 6.4 have "search function" for searching installed addons via mod's name or letters ?

 

i think the update of modman should have this function because people now have lots of mods :music_whistling:

These 3 new features seem great & very helpful ! Very nice :) :thumbup:

About the 3rd one, I assume it's the same when you swith to another occurrence the same game (i.e. LO "vanilla" / LO+mods) ?

Do you have any idea when Modman 6.4.0.0 will be available, unfortunately I am on dialup and I have to make arrangements to use a friends DSL for downloads

my wish list for next version:

- 16:10, 16:9 widescreen support (edits graphics.cfg file and launches LOCKON)

- close cooperation between MODMAN and PROCAFF so we can choose with MODMAN on which core we'd like to launch LOCKON
