screenshot a wireframe or the perspective view with edged faces on (right click the word perspective in the viewport and it just click "Edged Faces".

 

the thing abou wheels bob, is that they need to be rounded anyways. Just make that the first thing to be changed at the level of details. And don't worry about grooves in the tires, that can and should be textured.

Hmm... your model is already optimised.

 

Recommended poly-count for wehicle models is near 30K, 8-9K now isn't bad, let's work with the small parts.

I mean.. not all people fly as low as me too notice that grid ;):lol:

 

Looks good though.. but yeah.. the TGA would be better :)

Can either of you explain how to use a tga alpha channel? Im rather new to this and I have never heard of that

 

 

Make your normal texture then go to channels and make a new channel called Alpha, if i remember correctly.. the things u want to be visible should be WHITE and the things u dont want to be visible should be BLACK

Ok. I might be done. Here is a render of the release candidate 1. I really need input on whether or not there are any problems with it.

Also, should I add more detail or should I leave it as it is. It is already already just a little past 9,000 polygons.

Eh, I honestly cant give any kind of timeframe. This is my first model so I keep getting small hickups along the way. But with that said, I found a solution to my last issue last night and I dont see any more problems in the future. All thats left is to unwrap it and send it to ruggy to make a bitchin texture.

A few questions though, how does this look with the damage model?

I havent done anything with the damage model so I'm hoping it will use the default one. I will have to test it

also, does the turret traverse and elevate?

Yup. The turret goes up, down, left, and right. Maybe I'll get around to making an ingame video of it :smilewink:
