ED have said that they will release fewer patches, but each one with more content, so thats both good and bad i think.

Hi,

 

the team had a break until the 11th, and we need time to complete some work and test the builds, if all goes to plan the next update will be the 27th of January

Will that update include the new clouds, or just the Hornet features? Either way, I’m looking forward.

New clouds wont be in the next update, they are planned for the 1st quarter of this year, likely in version 2.7.*

 

Expect hornet features for the next patch, all details will be in the patch notes on patch day.

Then stop showing them in videos, mostly because two things, first, it is false advertisement, as they don´t represent the current product, and second, it´s cruel.

Most people like to see work in progress, it is difficult to please everyone however.

Thanks for the feedback.

Perfect, then show them under the WIP label,  not using them in banners everywhere, official game images and videos without addressing that fact. Show how things are, not how they are going to be. I know it will eventually come, its just that I dont like those practices, I don´t care what company is doing that.

Just to bring this out there: please keep showing stuff in progress, even if it is not coming in literally the next patch. I fully disagree to the person above me and would like to give you positive feedback on Wags' videos, just so it doesn't get swept under the rug by naysayers. Us guys that like how you do things are out here. 🙂

You people don´t get it... my gosh. I LOVE they show us new progress, what I don´t like is to show it like it represents the current product. Right now the banner of this forum its a sky and a plane that don´t exist in game, if you are cool with that, alright, not everyone has the same standars🙄

When did I say I dont´want them to show stuff in progress? Besides, I always give Wags positive feedback too, as everything he shows is fantastic for us. As usual people read what they want.

I can't tell you how much I love DCS and the people that bring it to me. So, I don't care WHAT they do so long as they keep doing it.

The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...

You literaly complained about them showing WIP stuff (here: clouds) because they are not included in the immediately following patch 6 posts further above. And then continue about "false advertising". That's a bit hyperbolic IMHO and I wanted to point out to Bignewy that not all people think so strictly as you seem to do.

Then stop watching the videos if it bothers you. Not everything they show is guaranteed for the next patch. You've been here more than a minute - you should know that.

I mean, whoever is not realizing that those Clouds are WIP probably didn't spend a minute looking at DCS so far, so - ok, I guess? Like Bignewy said, can't please everyone *shrug*
