Evilone Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 This campaign looks like it will be excellent. I love the ideas here, and cant wait to get started. Thanks for your efforts, I cant even begin to imagine the work thats gone on here! In the first mission scripted I noticed some small issues: Full labels seem to be forced ON. I can turn them completely off, however it would be good to be able to set them to 'dot only' mode for VR, or just follow whatever game preferences the user has set... Also, the radios. Left radio preset 1 was not set to the carrier as per the briefing, and also the radios seem to switch out of their presets and go to M (manual) channel when a comms event occors. About to go try the first 'proper' mission, strategic planning bug notwithstanding... Cheers and thanks!
Evilone Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 Hi Again, Just finished the first dynamic mission - awesome fun! However at the end of the mission, the de-brief doesnt fit on the screen and the co-ords for my next mission strike target are not visible. Here's a screen shot... Probably wont matter much as my next flight will probably be a CAP but still, it'd be good to reduce the number of white space lines so more will fin for us VR users... Anyway, hope the feedback helps. Great campaign so far, love your work!! Another suggestion: How about putting the code matrix on a kneeboard page? Maybe you did and I just didnt see it? Cheers

Cheers Thank you very much for the feedback, checking the issues that can affect VR users now. About the code matrix, yes it should be visible in the kneeboard already. As a workaround until the fix, you can see the target coordinates by checking the Red marks in the map once the message appears. However, there are three red marks on the map in the screenshot above. Does that mean there are 3 separate targets? or can i select whichever one? Thanks in advance.

Hey, if you wait a bit the marks will disappear and only one will be left that indicates the target. You can then zoom in into that mark and see the target, its coordinates and its elevation in order to edit your WP in mission planner. Silver_100 Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 I bought this as soon as I saw it as I loved Raven One. Mission one is a good start (with a couple of minor issues, see below), but then I tried to start mission 2...... I was just about to post re the inability to assign package tasking - but just spotted the comment at the top. I just wasted a lot of time on this - can I suggest you add something to the YouTube video to warn people until it is fixed. I thought it was me doing something wrong. Not impressive for ED to be actively selling content where one of the main features is not working. Comments on Mission one: I chose to refuel - the instructions tell you to send your wingman to tanker first - however the 'Flight' menu item in the comms menu stays greyed-out, so you can't. After I had refueled, I tried again, and although the item is still greyed-out, it did then open the options and I was able to send him to refuel. The Case III recovery stack instructions you get from the Carrier ATC - 318 course, 22 NM, angels 7, is right in the middle of the mountains south of Batumi which are higher than the allocated level. Not sure if that is a bug or a feature, but it doesn't seem realistic.
wielblad Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 Hi all, Very good initiative, I like the idea and eager to test it out when the zones fix comes out. A small suggestion to remove easy comms and add some kneeboards? Thanks!
gabuzomeu Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Hello First mission is really enjoyable. Congratulations! In mission 2, in addition to the described bug with assigning tasks through trigger zones, it seems one cannot change the task in the loadout panel so you cannot get access to all existing presets for the armament. This could be useful. Details: Asus Z-170E, Intel i5-6600K @ 4.2GHz, 16GB RAM MSI GTX970 Gaming 4G Win 10 Home

This could be useful. Hey, thank you for your purchase! Yes it's unfortunately not possible to change this task option through the mission planner but it's not a bug. This is not related to the campaign but on how DCS world planner works and that's the reason the feature of renaming the zones was introduced. Even with a different task in your package options, the package will execute the desired task that you can edit in the zones Loadouts help also in this option. You shall create new presets that you can use during the whole campaign. Silver_100 Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 Hi, I have tried missions 2 and 3. My own wingman doesn't seem to respond to comms menu commands. There is no audible acknowledgement of the command (to either Flight or Wingman 2) and he doesn't seem to follow the requested actions. I am transmitting on channel 1 on left radio 305mhz - which seems to be the correct frequency. Any suggestions please?

It should be fixed The process also for task assigment is now changed and you will be asked inside the cockpit. You can check the updated manuals too. There is a bug though that doesn't seem to be related to the campaign, but with the Supercarrier itself. We will check if it's already reported to the team. If you give the order to your wingman to RTB to the carrier, there is a repeation of comms between the carrier and him. We shall have updates for this soon. I hope you will enjoy the rest of the campaign. Greg "ARGO" DCS UH-1H DLC SP Campaign 373vFS DCS World squadron (Greece) - www.buddyspike.net "ARGO 2.0 Project Phoenix" UH-1H DLC Campaign - WIP
