FA_Crazy-Canuck Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 I enjoy my X45, but I was recently given an X52 Pro as a gift. Does anyone have a LOMAC profile for the X52Pro with documentation they would like to share? Also, can anyone tell me what the real differences are between the X52 and the X52Pro? Thanks for the input. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
redeagleGER Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 (edited) i also had a x45 till 2 weeks ago and after getting used to the softness of the stick and the new rudder usage i realy like it. its so much more precise. i attached my profile(for rus planes only), i think all buttons are named. but since everybody prefers other setting and ergonomic im not sure if u like it :) (its done with the drivers/software from the cd! so it wont work with the up to date drivers!) also note that i changed some buttons in lockon to make it work properly: guns is on '0'(cero), m=launch override, and '9' is radar mode IIRR mode 1 is BVR, mode 2 t/o and landingstandard.zip Edited July 20, 2008 by redeagle(GER) [sIGPIC]http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/5156/sig1ck8.jpg[/sIGPIC]
SuperKungFu Posted July 20, 2008 Posted July 20, 2008 You could look at my X-52 profile (but mine was for the original) not pro. http://www.lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&cid=78&lid=1169&title=SKF%20X-52%20Profile#dldetails [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

redeagleGER Posted July 21, 2008 Posted July 21, 2008 Thank you gentlemen. I will check them out. Redeagle, why are you not using the new drivers? simply because i found out that the original are not working properly (for me the MFD color isnt changing ehrn changing mode, but i dont care) right after i finished my profile :) and now im too lazy to remake it with the new software version. but like i said everything works except the MFD color stays green PS: what i forgot above:the HUD radar box(TDS slew) needs to bet set as mouse axis in LO + TWS mode is set to button 'k' just PM me if u need help, i just saw that some descriptions are in german :music_whistling:. ThunderChief Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Can you use the slider (at the throttle, where your thumb is) as an axis in LO? If not what is it usefull for?
thereminqblank Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Can you use the slider (at the throttle, where your thumb is) as an axis in LO? If not what is it usefull for? Zoom! Zoom! Zoom! The slider is awesome for the view zoom. You can set it up on the slider axis in the Lock On options, "Unholy Roller" [sIGPIC]http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/images/userbars/A-10C_UserBar_01.gif[/sIGPIC]
A.S Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Can you use the slider (at the throttle, where your thumb is) as an axis in LO? If not what is it usefull for? yes you can (zoom for example) but u can also split the range of this axis in part which each a function of it assigned.. in my profile above its key 1 (NAV) whenever moved from one side over the middle to the next. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Frostie Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 Disable Windows Key-combinations in Windows settings (just a offtopic tip) Could you explain this a bit more ( the reason for doing it ), could it be related to a problem I have with my keyboard (and X-52) not responding in flight properly on odd ocassions. Its an annoying problem that can appear at the wrong time, it appears to be a shift, control or alternate key locked and my only way of solving it is to Alt-Tab out and then back in to LO, then everything is back to normal. With this problem, which happens very rarely my controls don't function properly - switching to cannon actually opens my canopy, as you can imagine its great fun, not to mention the dance with alt-tabbing to clear the screwed up screen. A.S Posted July 23, 2008 Posted July 23, 2008 yeah, sometime wiered stuff happend to me too... you know that switch language on keyboard combination or all theses Inputhelp keystrokes in windows und systemproperties... i just unchecked and disabled everything ....same for button assignments of joystick ingame...delete everything there....cuz profiles refers already to keyboard, no need to cause conflicts by accident.... i cant say definitly why and what case, but to eliminate strange phenomons it helped :megalol: but one thing i havent figured out yes.....if i press my comswitch button on thurttle and same time mission recover ingame ...in quits the mission...LOL whith not resonable point O_o [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
FA_Crazy-Canuck Posted July 25, 2008 Author Posted July 25, 2008 I use rudder pedals. Was it a big deal to eliminate the "swivel stick" as rudder control? Do you all think the latest set of drivers are worth it, since I am starting from scratch? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Do you all think the latest set of drivers are worth it, since I am starting from scratch? Yes.. especially if you have a pretty old set.. the features are nice on the new SST. :joystick: ASUS Strix Z790-H, i9-13900, WartHog HOTAS and MFG Crosswind G.Skill 64 GB Ram, 2TB SSD EVGA Nvidia RTX 2080-TI (trying to hang on for a bit longer) 55" Sony OLED TV, Oculus VR
FA_Crazy-Canuck Posted July 26, 2008 Author Posted July 26, 2008 (edited) My pedals are the saitek pro flight pedals. I had no issue with my x45 and these pedals. Does the new software recognize the flight pedals? Edited July 26, 2008 by FA_Crazy-Canuck [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
A.S Posted July 26, 2008 Posted July 26, 2008 My pedals are the saitek pro flight pedals. I had no issue with my x45 and these pedals. Does the new software recognize the flight pedals? not the SD6 Final x52Pro Software what i can tell, but hasnt saitek peddals its own software (i have modded Simpeds, and they have inbuilt linear or curved hardware switch) ? Besided you dont need software for peddals, do you, i mean axis ingame and cuves and deadzone etc etc.... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
FA_Crazy-Canuck Posted July 26, 2008 Author Posted July 26, 2008 Yes Saitek pedals came with SST software. I found with the x45, I needed to be using the same SST update to operate them together. I assume the latest X52pro update takes this into account. Axis, etc is adjusted in game. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
FA_Crazy-Canuck Posted July 26, 2008 Author Posted July 26, 2008 Wow, plugged the stick into my laptop to set up the profile. There are so many more buttons to use which is great. The added ability to change the colour of the buttons etc, is cool stuff. I look forward to programming it and getting airborne. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
