Badass1982 Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 (edited) I managed to fix my issues it seems to have been related to mods I had installed (isn't it always lol) removed the mods and the servers started working great again! Thx As for the instance names I believe I had to edit the batch file to make sure all the switches were entered correctly. Edited April 22, 2021 by Badass1982
Mitchos Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 (edited) Hello, I use to run DCS Dedicated Open beta server, but since a month or so, it crahes every time i launch it. Yesterday i uninstalled it and made a new install, deleting everything from the previous install. So starting with a "brand new" install, i launched it and this time the server is not starting. As you can see from the screenshot attached to this, I have the DCS Dedicated OB server window, Local Web GUI up and running. Once connected, there is no way to make it run. In addition to that, in the task manager window, the process for DCS is showing me CPU load to 0%. I'm not an expert and i will appreciate some help please. Flappie Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 It's perfectly normal that the process uses 0% of the CPU as long as it's not running any mission. I get the same result. And according to your log, your server is starting as it should. What does happen when you click the "Start" button? Are you aware your server is not up-to-date? Its version is DCS/2.7.15.25026. It should be 2.7.15.26783 (DCS versions). ---
Flappie Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 (edited) When I compare our logs, I see you may have an issue with TCP port 8088. This is what I get: 2022-06-20 21:12:26.642 INFO NET: TCP external 90.0.147.72:8088 is redirected to internal 192.168.1.20:8088 2022-06-20 21:12:26.642 INFO NET: Registering HTTP control interface as 90.0.147.72:8088 (port is forwarded by UPNP) And this is what you get: 2022-07-10 06:08:53.695 ERROR NET: AddPortMapping(8088, 8088, 192.168.1.15, TCP) failed with code 718 (ConflictInMappingEntry) 2022-07-10 06:08:53.699 ERROR NET: GetSpecificPortMappingEntry(8088, TCP) failed with code 714 (NoSuchEntryInArray) 2022-07-10 06:08:53.721 ERROR NET: AddPortMapping(8088, 8088, 192.168.1.15, TCP) failed with code 718 (ConflictInMappingEntry) 2022-07-10 06:08:53.725 ERROR NET: GetSpecificPortMappingEntry(8088, TCP) failed with code 714 (NoSuchEntryInArray) 2022-07-10 06:08:53.725 ERROR NET: UPNP failed to map HTTP port 8088 2022-07-10 06:08:53.725 INFO NET: Registering HTTP control interface as 109.209.37.80:8088 (port is assumed to be open) Maybe your TCP port 8088 is already in use. By the way, the server is not using your Internet address, but the local one. Is that normal? Are you using a proxy? Edited July 10, 2022 by Flappie ---

I'm checking for port 8088, where it can be used other than on the server.... EDIT: Port was the actual problem! Thank you for helping me Edited July 10, 2022 by Mitchos
SilentAssassin Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 (edited) Hello, I'm not sure if this thread is active but I'm lost on similar situation as last person. Before the 2.9 update I was able to run a dedicated server just fine being able to connect/control the server via webgui, however when updated, the server appears to be running given that the window is open, but webgui it couldnt detect the server. I've attached the logs P.S. I'm not experienced... EDIT: the issue was solved, im not sure how I fixed it. I used Skatezilla's program to manage my server and that fixed the issue Edited January 14, 2024 by SilentAssassin
