Wishes/requests/suggestions for future updates

If feasible at all, could you please consider adding the following options (in any of the future updates):

  1. A single radio option to order all AI flights to RTB (instead of having to order them separately.
  2. An option to disable non essential communication messages. E.g. "Enemy aircraft destroyed", Chit chat between pilot (player) and wingman, AWACS check in comms (except for the requested code). Especially the large text fields are quite immersion breaking (at least in VR).

  • An option to reassign tasks to flights
  • When asked to take out a target, maybe provide feedback that it worked? All I see is (Destroyed). Is that it?
  • The above mentioned RTB comment is great.
  • Am I wrong or we can't yet assign strike package to a flight?

Thanks!

You can assign strike tasks but maybe you mean the option to assign them to attack the target that was given in the briefing?

If so, no this is only related for your package at the moment.

Will check all our options based on this feedback and shall come back in a future update 🙂

  • sirrah changed the title to Wishes/requests/suggestions for future updates

Two more suggestions:

  • Maybe you could consider adding an AWACS check out procedure
  • In possible future variants of this campaign; I'd suggest, change the voice chatter between the player pilot and his wingman:
    • I know this is very subjective, but currently the voice of the wingman sounds quite a bit more mature (or at age?) than the players voice. Even though this could of course be the case irl, or just a matter of being a young wingman with a low voice; it does sound a bit weird hearing the pilots voice call his wingman "son" 😄
    • Maybe it is because I kinda suck when it comes to good results in this campaign (pretty much on each mission I loose a few allied AI flights), but in all flights I've done so far, I think I only heard two variants of the pilot<-->wingman chatter
  • Add some sort of notification when the briefed ground target is destroyed. I thought a message like this was already implemented and that I just missed it on previous mission. But in my last mission I took extra attention to it and didn't see any message. Oh, and I'm 100% sure I destroyed the correct target (used 2xGBU24's just to make absolutely sure )

Hey, thanks for all the feedback!

About the notification. There is actually a notification mentioning that the targets were destroyed successfully.

There are cases that you won't see the notification, if you think that the building is destroyed completely but for DCS it won't count like this.

This happens if you drop less effective bombs (e.g. GBU 12) on a strong building etc.

In your case 2x GBU 24s should be good though but maybe it was a tougher building that needed even more bombs on it.

If that's the case then you should plan for a "heavier" attack 🙂

I suggest to make better status of my 3 mates from my package. Where they are, what are the doing and how many left. I often land almost alone as the reported jump out, because they flying everywhere.  Situational Awareness is essential.

4 flights is too much for managing them in time. For me suits better F10 options Call SEAD, CAS, ESCORT etc.. Put at the start briefing what assets are available for your missions. This is not real if you have always your mates ready behind the carrier . Also allies flights should be considered as part of the missions and replacing damaged or destroyed  aircraft.

At the debriefing I'm missing what has been destroyed, and how many assets are ready for the next mission.
