Sr. Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 I'm brand new to the Huey. Lately (and I'm sure it's me) whenever I try to use pilot trim, it will engage but then seems to lock out my stick movements... I'm feverishly hitting trim reset and can usually regain stick movement if I hammer the rudder back and forth. I am using Central pos trim mode and rudder trim selected in special. jym Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 Central position trim halts cyclic input until you return your stick to its centre position.

Yep, that was my understanding. Only mine wouldn't return or move at all. I've resolved it by unchecking the rudder trim option under Special. If you are trying to centre it, then maybe the axis is twitchy around the centre and it isn't quite getting there. If it's registering even a slight input it will lock you out. That would explain why flapping the pedals around like a madman sometimes fixes it.
