Ducksen Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 The title says it all. Can not find option to ask ground crew for chokes. The manual says to initiate the chokes and, well, I like the idea of having them. No biggie, hope to see a fix for that. Regards Ducksen
Racer67 Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 The C-101 is a bit unique this way due to the fact that the wheel chokes are tied to turning on the Electric Power. When you cold start the jet the ladder, helmet and wheel chokes are in place. When you start electric power and (hit GEN button left console) they disappear and the generator starts. Due to this feature there is no separate wheel chokes for the Crew Chief. 2
Kang Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 I think this is a bit due to the fact that the C-101's wheel chocks were put in place long before the 'generic' placing wheel chocks command for ground crews was introduced by ED. Perhaps it would make sense to decouple these functions now? 1

Honestly, I'd rather spend the development man-hours on the Mirage F-1, as this chocks issue is a very minor one and won't provide any substantial benefit since the aircraft already has chocks in a way. Kang Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 Admittedly the change in name of the team associated with the F-1 had fooled me yet again for a moment into thinking it was being done by different people. 1
