HMD Alignment

I just read in the Hornets NATOPS Flight Manual on III-7-21:

But when I press the OSB next to ALIGN on the HMD page, nothing happens and there is no cross on the HUD.

So, is this modeled in DCS or do I forgot anything to do, to align the HMD?

Thanks.

Will we get this feature in the future or is it not planned at all, @BIGNEWY?

As the title says, the alignment for the HMD, like in the real aircraft would be cool.

The ALIGN option on the HMD page is already there. WIth a press on that, there should be a cross in the HUD und HMD and if both are matched, the SCS press has to be pressed and hold.

So you want people with flat 2D screen to do a Align with mouse wheel headmovement or NumPad?

Or a TrackIR guy with little to no head movement curves beside Turning and zooming?

I really think this one is not necessary and uncomfortable for most of the (Game) players.

Although for a full simulation i should be in.

Special Aircrafts Setting:

Real HMD Alignment ON/OFF

(Default OFF)

Greetings

I'm a TrackIR User, too.

I don't know, how difficult the real alignment with a screen is, but I want the Hornet to be real, as possible.

A option would be nice, if it is that difficult, as you described it.

+1. It'd be nice to have the option to do this realistically, at least. I also think that it'd actually serve a purpose, even in 2D, as you could have the HMD be somewhere that suits your viewing angle, rather than always be in the middle of the screen.
