Mission 2 dialogue missing.

Just managed to luck my way through mission 2. I’ll go try it again as I screwed up a bunch of stuff. 
 

However watching redkites video after launching from the carrier edit: refueling there’s a bunch of dialogue about the jukebox and the XO and everything. 
 

But when I played myself all that was missing. 
 

I took off before smoke and let him catch up. Then I flew the waypoints and climbed like in the brief. Flip calls turning to waypoint 2 and most of the other dialogue works. 
 

then after my terrible AAR attempt we get to waypoint 4 and smoke splits off. When he turns back at 60 miles and I get awacs calls to find him he never says “tapes on” etc. 

 

am I missing trigger zones or something? I’ll try again and report back. Just hoping it’s not something broken with the latest dcs update. 

 

EDIT: Tried again with the same result. No conversation after refueling. Refueling goes ok, but the tanker doesnt answer when Flip says the flight is pushing off. Then when doing radar practice Smoke never calls for tapes on or fights on. 

 

Eventually I find him and get a lock then we get told to go find the bandit. I need to work on using the Rock calls because I couldn't find the enemy this time. Then when we go back to the ship Smoke follows me all the way down to the ship and this time he crashed. Still finished the mission I guess but I'd like to play it as designed.

I'll have a look. I updated the final part, but didn't touch the tanker - so not sure what can be the problem there..

late to the party but  got  the  same  issues  myself  now  as    when i first  got  it  i  hadnt  so  some  thing  has  changed, was wondering if  you  had  solved  your  issues

Hey, I would like to join to this conversation too. I try again the campaign but this time try to get 100 for each mission. I just realized that on the way back there is no further communication. Are these the last lines of the dialog in this mission?

I switched to BTN4 in prime, but it's called MOTHER in the kneeboard. Is it correct? I don't heard more dialogues from this point.

Smoke also fly a formation with me all the way to the ship. Is it OK or I missed some trigger somewhere?

In this case MOTHER is the same as MARSHAL.

As for the recovery procedure and coms I think you are supposed to use regular comms and call "inbound" and "see you at 10" to mother. When you get closer to the carrier you will at some point get a message saying something like "Remember to hit spacebar to kiss off Smoke". So, when you have passed mother at 800ft on the starboard side and are about to break left you hit spacebar.

Yes, I did it in this way. Everything is fine, I made all the calls I landed, mission completed, but there is no KISS OFF call in this time, there is a CASE III Recovery and there is no pop-up menu.

Maybe this feature is not there at all, I'm just asking.

But this AI behavior make me worry because Smoke is flying next to me + I see him in the SA page so I don't know what the AI will do.

Just did the CASE III recovery on mission 10 and I got the message about pressing spacebar to kiss off my wingmen about 5nm from touch down. At that point I was pretty concentrated on not crashing so I almost missed it. Feels like it should have been better to "kiss them off" before the inbound call so they could have joined the stack properly.

Same here. Did you guys managed to do the mission "properly"? I only get 70 points. No trigger on the fight. After we reach waypoint 4 Smoke flies off. Then I intercept the bogey and escort him for a while until I ran low on fuel and had to hand over the watch and land back on the ship. The Su-24 isn't any way bothered by my radar lock to change his heading, just drops some chaff and flare.

You have to follow the Su-24 until it finally peels off, and the whole trick is to have enough fuel to do so. I will check the comms after AAR. Thanks!
