impreza Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Yesterday I was flying fortunately with good graphics and now DCS has lag. I have been reading about that but I dont find a good config. In my case I have i10, 32Gb and SSD. Is it possible to configure something decent?. I was a happy person before 2.7.
Flappie Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Hi @impreza. Please attach the following files: C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Logs\dcs.log (may appear as just "dcs") Your dxdiag log (here's how to get one) Also, please run this command through "cmd" Windows utility and copy-paste the answer: wmic pagefile list /format:list ---
impreza Posted April 17, 2021 Author Posted April 17, 2021 I get a better performance with "medium" graphics and less details in forest, lens effect... The ka50 screen have "lag" or something strange when I move the tdc. Im thinking in change my graphic card. Can I select "Ultra" setting for 3-4 years with gtx3060? thanks for your help.dcs.log.old
Flappie Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Sorry, I don't own a RTX3060, I don't know its performance at all. I'm running DCS on a GTX1080Ti and 2.7 is OK for me. I didn't experience FPS drops going from 2.5 to 2.7. I see you have a lot of mods installed. Have you tried to run 2.7 without them? By the way, I still need your dxdiag log and the return of the "wmic..." function. ---
Flappie Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Thanks, I received your dxdiag log. I don't see anything weird in it. As I said, you should try disabling your mods. We already know a number of them are not compatible yet with DCS 2.7 and can cause issues. ---
impreza Posted April 17, 2021 Author Posted April 17, 2021 Ok. I tried without mods and I find the same situation. I think the graphic upgrade is too much for 1070. Now minimum system requirements require a 1070. I think graphic performance is slightly better after today´s nvidia update. hace 1 minuto, Flappie dijo: Thanks, I received your dxdiag log. What mods are not compatible?? If I make a clean installation I want to discard them.
Flappie Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 I have no idea which mods work or not, sorry. I assume they will all get updated by their creators in the upcoming weeks. ---

To chime in as a GTX1050TI User: The update was not "too much" at all, matter of fact the sim looks better and runs smoother through the bench, on my system and the systems of all my squadmates (who use all kinds of different systems from "great" to "not so well"). Stuff that worked flawless before is still flawless, and very taxing things like low level flying over cities in Syria are still not really great (understandable with my setup) but actually improved a little as well. For completion's sake find my settings in the attached screenshot - assuming you're on 1080p and everything's alright with your system & installation (+mods), you really should be able to crank things up quite a bit higher without compromising your overall simming experience. 1
Nevyn Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 (edited) I have 1070TI, i7-9600,32GB and running on an NVMe drive, latest nvidia driver and runs pretty good on 2.7, in fact it feels smoother, some parts of syria is a bit of an f-show, but all other maps are . These setting are the same as 2.5 I haven't screwed with it at all. EDIT: I just remembered I adjusted the Clouds setting from STANDARD to ULTRA Edited April 20, 2021 by Nevyn
