VDV Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 After 4 hours of waiting and succesfull update the game to 2.7, I was awarded with this (see picture pls). And now I cant start the game and cant play anymore. Pls help. Thanks in advance.
Hoirtel Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 This is not the game's fault. You need to learn how to manage a computer and troubleshoot problems. PC's are not consoles they need looking after to work their best.
VDV Posted April 15, 2021 Author Posted April 15, 2021 Hoirtel, thanks, but that never happend before. Im DCS user from the ages of Flanker 2.0 (more than 20 years). Im also not anyone who doesnt understand nothing from PC`s. Thats why Im asking here, because I cant solve the problem.
Flappie Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Hi @VDV. Is the file "E:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS_updater.exe" present? Is your O.S. Windows 10? Try adding these folders as exceptions to your antivirus: E:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\ C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta ---
VDV Posted April 15, 2021 Author Posted April 15, 2021 (edited) Flappie, yes, thats the directory of my game and that is the problem file. And im with Win10. Now im reinstalling the DCS, when im done, I will try that. Thanks! Edited April 15, 2021 by VDV
Aqualung Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Hello, I have a related problem. The update seemed to install correctly albeit slowly. Now when trying to run the program, I get a blank screen after I get the v 2.7 splash screen and the login request. The \DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS_updater.exe is present Any ideas to try? Thanks! Win 10 64 bit, 32 GB RAM
Flappie Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 @AqualungYour problem seems to be different. Please create a new thread and attach your dcs.log file ( C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS...\Logs\dcs.log ). I'll take a look. ---
LG_Barons Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 Did you reinstall Windows 10? if yes, you need to give yourself access to your E: drive again. try first right click on the E:DCS folder and on the tab security under permission give yourself full access.
