Hey all

This is something that is continuously happening in 2.7 but not in 2.5

Suggestions, I've tried multiple times in doing repairs.

Hi @Wood. Your 2.7 shouldn't ask for "fake_omni_lights.fx": this file doesn't exist anymore in "\DCS World OpenBeta\Bazar\shaders\model".

If you have mods installed, I suggest you disable/uninstall them.

Hi Flappy

ahh! I see that. Thank you.

Here is a question.

Here's a question? I know what it says about not using mods. however, I created a NTTR mission about 4 years ago using the 476 vFG - Air Weapons Range Objects mod pack. Using the same objects as in the 476th miz. why would that mission load and not ours when it uses the same objects mind boggling to say the least or am I missng something

Thanks again

I have no idea, sorry.

ED has nothing against mods by  the way, but the issue here is that a good amount of them are not 2.7-compatible yet. This is why we're seeing a lot of issues with mods since 2.7 came out. I'm sure mod creators will soon adapt their mods to 2.7.

Can confirm, having the same issue here; also a problem with the 476 vFG mods.  I did find that if I made a copy of the fake_omni_lights2.fx and renamed it to fake_omni_lights.fx (there is a second file you need to this to, though I can't recall which right now) the message suppressed.  I don't know if there were any knock-on issues with doing that, however.

Did you remember what the other file was.

That fix did it for me as well so thanks for that.
