Quest 2 / RTX 2060 / Drivers up to date.

Intense flickering in left eye, right seems normal. Mostly noticed in smoke and canopies but I've observed it in the seeker head of my sidewinders...

I also noticed on Deck Crew, and in LSO Platform when i´m looking to the reflex in the water (around ships for example) it flickers on the left eye creating a weird glicth in VR.

Yesterday I found that my flood lights and flashlight was rendering also in one eye.

Found this thread:

Turned out that I had the parser turned on... ( options.graphics.stereo_mode_use_shared_parser = true ) in this file

[Drive:]:\Users\[user]\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\autoexec.cfg

So I changed to:

options.graphics.stereo_mode_use_shared_parser = false

It fixed the flood light and flashlight issue... And since I made that change, I have not seen the flickering I reported in the first post of this thread...

Thank you for your reply/help but it is not the case here. The problem are various objects 3D LOD rendedered wrong/different in each eye.

(i have my shared parser as default to false)

Thanks.

Any further word on this. I am getting flickering in my right eye only while in various SP missions both today and yesterday. Didn't seem to happen in MP though yet, although that of course could be a coincidence.

There are two seperate issues at play here.

First is the LOD issue discussed here:

Turning on the parser pre 2.7 solved the horrible LOD differences with clouds (most egregious), shadows, and smoke/fire, with the primary downside being floodlights only appearing in one eye, and occassionally seeing ghost coastlines.  Despite being WIP and the stated issues, having it on was the better option for me.

The second is that 2.7 introduced new issues with smoke and contrails appearing in different eyes with the parser on.  Now that I've turned it back off, the shadow LOD issue is back, but doesn't seem as bad, and the new clouds are working fine as well as smoke and contrails.  Coastlines and floodlights appear just fine again also.  Overall, despite losing the performance benefit, having it off now is the better option for me.
