grafspee Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 (edited) I was reading NACA report about Flying qualities of P-47D-30, and i came a cross table which represents power settings for certain tests. Looks like dive with 15" at 2550 wont hurt engine bearings, as 21" approach or throttle off for glide and landing phase. I think ED need to re think master bearing damage logic, it feels too sensitive. I doubt that during this tests any of engine experience fatal bearing damage.
