Not sure if this is a bug or as irl but I am flying around in the hornet just now and took some damage but on approach i noticed my hydraulic pressure was gone as was my backup/emerg hydraulics so had to use emergency gear down and can't sweep wings forward.

However, I can open and close my speed brake all day long still...

Is this on a seperate system or is something else going on?

Yep, no wing sweep working without hydraulic pressure, no flaps either.

Yeah, that's the bit that works as irl.

The bit I am concerned with is the speed brake still operating??

Thanks!

I suck too, because I totally missed that part 🙂

The speedbrakes on the F-14 Tomcat consists of three sections on the tail located between the engines and these are powered by the combined hydrualic system.

So if your COMB hydraulics were gone and you still could operate speedbrakes that would be a bug - I must check.

Just tested A-135-GR and with Comb hydraulics at 0 I could still move speedbrakes - they were just like 5 times slower to extend.

Left engine off, hydraulic transfer pump off, right engine on, full Flt hydraulic pressure, tested on the ground.

I wonder if it's simulating Ground Test Mode of the Electric Emergency Hydraulic system? That would be the only time something would drive flow in the whole Combined Side of the system, and if it wasn't in HIGH mode, would be a pretty low pressure on the Combined Side.

The only way it should work is from the Ground Service AUX HYD CONT Switch with ground power on, which turns it on HIGH.

Perhaps they tied the Isolation valve to WOW as a simplification.

That right there is precisely why i didnt just automatically go post it as a bug lol

Cos i knew it would be complicated!
