Krupi Posted May 19, 2021 Posted May 19, 2021 (edited) Just seeking some clarification, the current screenshots of the Mossie cockpit shows the Radio equipment, however I am confused as to what version we will be receiving. A book I have points to the arrangement we currently have, which shows the R1155 Receiver and the T1154 which were only on the very early FB. VI. From the book I have... As you can see this is what we have modeled, with a T1154 and R1155. This is what was on the vast majority of FB. VI according to this book at least. Krupi Posted May 19, 2021 Author Posted May 19, 2021 (edited) This one... https://www.abebooks.co.uk/9781906959081/Mosquito-FB.VI-Airframe-Systems-RAF-1906959080/plp I went to an event hosted by the People Mosquito a few weeks back, wish I had asked the question then but I completely forgot. It was a fascinating presentation, I learnt loads that I had not heard of before. dmwierz Posted May 20, 2021 Posted May 20, 2021 Ah, saw that on the US Amazon site. Pretty expensive book; at least $60. Worth it, in your opinion? i9-9900K @5.1Ghz w/ 32GB RAM, RTX2080 Super w/ 8G, Samsung Odyssey VR HMD, 1 TB SSD, VKB Gladiator MKII, TM TWCS throttle, Saitek Pro Yoke, Saitek Throttle Quadrant x2, CH Pro Pedals, Obutto Ozone
Krupi Posted July 9, 2021 Author Posted July 9, 2021 Would be nice to get some clarification on this as the news article specifically mentions T1154 and R155 which were only on earlier versions of the aircraft? "DCS: Mosquito FB Mk.VI is progressing well. The cockpit is near final; we are adding details to instrumentation colour, reflections, and colour balance. Work on the radio transmitter T1154.B and receiver R1155 devices, as well as radio communications for VoiceChat, is also approaching completion. The external model is almost finished, and texturing is near completion. To keep you informed on the development process, we have taken the opportunity to prepare some In Development screenshots for you." Krupi Posted July 9, 2021 Author Posted July 9, 2021 If we are getting an early FB VI then this leads to an even more important question, what engines will this Mossie use the Mk 21, 23 as used on the early examples or Mk 25 as used on the vast majority. TWC_SLAG Posted July 10, 2021 Posted July 10, 2021 As long as we are talking about avionics, let us not forget about the air intercept radar. Some were modified to carry an ASV radar in a small thimble housing that replaced the .303s but if it's AI radar then the dedicated NF marks, the II, XII or XIII are what you would need.

If those marks are what we need, then let’s get one of them. DCS would be, I think, the only sim to have nightfighters since il2 1946. They could then make a nightfighter version of the JU-88, also. Add a few AI versions of British and German bombers, too. 1 TWC_SLAG Win 10 64 bit, 2T Hard Drive, 1T SSD, 500GB SSD, ASUS Prime Z390 MB, Intel i9 9900 Coffee Lake 3.1mhz CPU, ASUS 2070 Super GPU, 32gb DDR4 Ram, Track IR5, 32” Gigabyte curved monitor, TM Warthog HOTAS, CH Pedals, Voice Attack, hp Reverb G2.
