Volator Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 Is anyone else experiencing this? On a multiplayer server working a CA slot, after playing for 45 minutes or so, DCS regularly crashes when I zoom in closely on the F10 map. 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
Flappie Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 Hi. So far, I haven't experienced this. Please attach the most recent ZIP file your can find in "C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS..\Logs". ---
Volator Posted May 22, 2021 Author Posted May 22, 2021 Thanks for having a look at this, here you go. The date of the file says it's from 18th May, which is before those crashes started - it basically happened with the latest OB patch. dcs.log-20210518-150308.zip 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
Flappie Posted May 22, 2021 Posted May 22, 2021 Ah, then I need the dcs.log file. It may appear as "dcs". It's also located in the "Logs" folder. ---
Volator Posted May 22, 2021 Author Posted May 22, 2021 Here it is. dcs.log 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
Flappie Posted May 23, 2021 Posted May 23, 2021 Thanks. Your log doesn't show the crash, though. But I see some unusual errors here during game start: 2021-05-22 21:21:43.162 ERROR EDCORE: No suitable driver found to mount c:/users/eilke/saved games/dcs/textures/ajs37 2021-05-22 21:21:43.162 ERROR EDCORE: No suitable driver found to mount c:/users/eilke/saved games/dcs/textures/av-8b 2021-05-22 21:21:43.162 ERROR EDCORE: No suitable driver found to mount c:/users/eilke/saved games/dcs/textures/f-5 2021-05-22 21:21:43.162 ERROR EDCORE: No suitable driver found to mount c:/users/eilke/saved games/dcs/textures/f-86f 2021-05-22 21:21:43.163 ERROR EDCORE: No suitable driver found to mount c:/users/eilke/saved games/dcs/textures/f-86f/usn_usmc 2021-05-22 21:21:43.163 ERROR EDCORE: No suitable driver found to mount c:/users/eilke/saved games/dcs/textures/ka-50 2021-05-22 21:21:43.163 ERROR EDCORE: No suitable driver found to mount c:/users/eilke/saved games/dcs/textures/m-2000c 2021-05-22 21:21:43.163 ERROR EDCORE: No suitable driver found to mount c:/users/eilke/saved games/dcs/textures/p-51d 2021-05-22 21:21:43.163 ERROR EDCORE: No suitable driver found to mount c:/users/eilke/saved games/dcs/textures/sa342 2021-05-22 21:21:43.163 ERROR EDCORE: No suitable driver found to mount c:/users/eilke/saved games/dcs/textures/su-25 2021-05-22 21:21:43.163 ERROR EDCORE: No suitable driver found to mount c:/users/eilke/saved games/dcs/textures/su-25t 2021-05-22 21:21:43.163 ERROR EDCORE: No suitable driver found to mount c:/users/eilke/saved games/dcs/textures/su-27 2021-05-22 21:21:43.163 ERROR EDCORE: No suitable driver found to mount c:/users/eilke/saved games/dcs/textures/su-33 2021-05-22 21:21:43.163 ERROR EDCORE: No suitable driver found to mount c:/users/eilke/saved games/dcs/textures/uh-1 2021-05-22 21:21:43.163 ERROR EDCORE: No suitable driver found to mount c:/users/eilke/saved games/dcs/textures/uh-1/usmc_hmm 2021-05-22 21:21:43.163 ERROR EDCORE: No suitable driver found to mount c:/users/eilke/saved games/dcs/textures/misc I highly doubt it has something to do with your F10 view crashes, though. It seems you have put your custom liveries in the wrong folder. It should be called "Liveries", not "Textures". Next time your F10 crash happens, please attach your fresh dcs.log file so we can see what happens. 1 ---
Volator Posted May 25, 2021 Author Posted May 25, 2021 Latest game crash log file, not F10 zoom related though, but being in F10 map. The log file is incredibly huge https://www.mediafire.com/file/makeel33p7hd0tm/dcs.log/file 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
Flappie Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Thanks. Volator Posted May 27, 2021 Author Posted May 27, 2021 BTW, I talked to other players on an MP server: three said they have the same issue with zoom in F10 crashes. 1 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
Volator Posted May 27, 2021 Author Posted May 27, 2021 Here's an F10 zoom crash event dcs.log 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven

BTW, I only checked this now, all my liveries in fact are in the folder "Liveries", the folder "Texture" only holds an F/A-18 folder... I don't know where this error message stems from. 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
Volator Posted May 28, 2021 Author Posted May 28, 2021 Next F10 zoom crash log. Did a full repair before btw. dcs.log 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
Volator Posted May 28, 2021 Author Posted May 28, 2021 And the next F10 zoom crash. dcs.log 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
Flappie Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 Thanks. Sorry, I don't see anything unusual in the logs. 1 ---
Trespasser Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Hmm, never seen this before, but it's happening to me as of today. I zoom in on F-10 to get accurate grid coordinates for an object and the screen/game just freezes and I get notified by windows that the program is no longer responding. It's on a multiplayer server, but it's done it now 3 times in a row and very easy to duplicate. Anyone know if this error was ever tracked down and solved? dcs.log
