Fish Posted May 23, 2021 Posted May 23, 2021 Hi all, Cant get idle cutoff work. Mapped to a keyboard key, and to one of my HID buttons. Tried it during start up FJS up to speed and battery on. Also from a running engine, to try cutoff the fuel. Neither work. Don't see any mouse hotspot for it. Am i doing something wrong or is this not functional in the current version ? Im using current beta. 2.7.1 Fish's Flight Sim Videos [sIGPIC]I13700k, RTX4090, 64gb ram @ 3600, superUltraWide 5120x1440, 2560x1440, 1920x1080, Warthog, Tusba TQS, Reverb VR1000, Pico 4, Wifi6 router, 360/36 internet[/sIGPIC]
Frederf Posted May 23, 2021 Posted May 23, 2021 There is no action in the list called "idle cutoff". Can you be specific as to the exact name of the action you are using? Using the action "Throttle - OFF/IDLE" by the keyboard I get expected behavior such that holding the key sets the throttle handle to the off position and the release event moves the handle to the idle position. This only works if my throttle axis is at 0% or very close to it. There is a white line painted on the throttle handle and the sidewall. These lines have to be overlapped about 2/3rds or more for the action to work. There is another action "Throttle Cutoff Release - Depress" which should squeeze the lever on the throttle handle that looks like a bicycle handbrake. In reality this lever pulls a pin that makes it possible to move the handle to the off position. I don't see it animating or in a quick test that it does anything at all in DCS.

VampireNZ Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Any word on the Throttle cut-off release - depress lever working in F-16? I note it has been reported and noted internally...are there any plans to incorporate this control? Currently you can just click the throttle to cutoff without using the lever. Using a VKB with detents to activate this cutoff, it would be nice to require the lever to be pulled as well. Just a thought. Vampire

What is the point of requiring another keypress to move the throttle in or out of idle? 1
