DCS 2.5.6 to 2.7.1 - Game now crashes when loading

Hi,

 

Been using 2.5.6 for ages and thought it was time to update to 2.7.1, but now the game doesnt load as it crashes before it gets to the main home screen.

 

I have used the verified/repair option - no issues found
Changed pagefile to 16384 - 16384
Deleted saved games so it re-creates

Debug logs enabled and attached
No mods are installed

 

There are a bunch of errors as below relating to shaders?

Do you have the frenchpack mod installed?
If so either delete it or update it to the newest version.
If that does not help, sorry.

I have added AV exceptions and also disabled real time to be sure, same issue. I have re-zipped the logs and attached.

The ACCESS VIOLATION is for igd10iumd64.dll which is for Intel Graphics, looking around it says to upgrade the driver, but I can't on mine, its got the latest one.

 

Do you know if anything was change between 2.5.1 and 2.7 to stop working with lower spec cards? Mine is an Intel HD Graphics Family.

 

I don't fly on this PC, just use it for building missions in Mission Editor.

 

Failing fixing this I will just have to put 2.5.6 back on, but that is a pain as I can't tweak the weather as it changed for 2.7, and once I save a mission on 2.7 I can no longer use it on 2.5.6.

Hi guys. Please try the common procedure:

1. Rename "C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS" (or DCS.openbeta) folder as "DCS_backup"
2. Start the game and see if it crashes.
3. If crashes are still here, try a DCS "slow" repair.

I have done so many repairs(steam) and still getting crashes to the point where I have to click the reset button to overcome them.

Mine is a Lenovo ThinkPad. Not found a fix yet...

Please read my first post, it covers what I have done already.

My bad. You didn't answer user bmbpdk. Do you have the Frenchpack mod installed? Versions anterior to v4.5 are known to cause this bug with 2.7.
