Need help

Hi,
I own the Combat Arms.
With them I can get into the vehicles and drive around.
So far so good...

But when I put a vehicle next to my plane (engine of the plane is not running yet) and I jump into the vehicle to drive it, the engine of the plane starts and the plane takes off (without me).
But I want to get from the vehicle back into the plane and then fly off.

How do I get this to work?

Maybe ESC key, select rol and jump into the cockpit? Just thinking out loud...

If you are talking about putting the aircraft on mission editor, you have to set the aircraft as "client", otherwise it would be AI controlled by default :)

Edit: oh sorry, I get what you want, to drive to the aircraft and then jump into it. What I have done sometimes is to put a static aircraft on the spot where you want your aircraft to be. Then you can destroy the static and spawn the "controllable" aircraft

You can't control two vehicles at the same time, so when you jump into the vehicle an AI will occupy your aircraft. You should be able to jump back in your aircraft, with the same command you used to get into the vehicle, but the AI will have been doing its thing, while you were not in control of the aircraft (e.g start it up, fly a waypoint, attack, rtb, etc.)

So it is not possible to drive to the plane with the vehicle outside the airfield (a city nearby ), then get in the plane and fly...?

I mean... you can fake it (use some tricks and work arounds), if that is what you are looking for.

You can try spawning an AI plane with no fuel, so it doesn't go anywhere, drive to it, then take control over it

 

If you use scripting, you can get a static plane to sit there and disappear, whenever you enter the aircraft slot.
